Mr. Ioele has more than 18 years of experience in the healthcare IT industry in roles ranging from hands-on technical work to strategic planning with senior business leaders and their customers. He has a rich business and technology background focusing heavily on system integration and design, system architecture, business analysis and solution implementation. As an experienced Enterprise Architect, he has helped organizations and their customers better align their use of technology to effectively meet their business objectives. Mr. Ioele is a true practitioner of architecture who can bring an architecture vision to life and effectively communicate that vision to key stakeholders and team members.
Starting in 2006, Mr. Ioele was a key member of the Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association’s (“GRIPA”) technical team who led the architecture design of GRIPA’s health information exchange (“HIE”). The HIE was comprised of a provider portal featuring real time patient care alerts, integrated laboratory and radiology results viewing, critical alerting and messaging, electronic prescribing and referral management which was designed to support GRIPA’s clinical integration (“CI”) program. The success of GRIPA’s HIE implementation allowed GRIPA to be only the second organization in the nation to receive a favorable opinion from the FTC and be recognized as a national leader in the movement toward a progressive business model for independent and community-based practitioners.
At the time, the design work that Mr. Ioele did while implementing GRIPA’s HIE was innovative and ‘ahead of its time’. Much of the technology he architected is now used as a standard approach for organizations today who are striving to implement technology strategies to support their CI initiatives.
Mr. Ioele received his bachelor’s degree in management with an emphasis on technology and innovation from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
